Michel Rolland

Consulting Enologist

Michel Rolland (born December 24, 1947 in Libourne, France) is an influential Bordeaux-based enologist, with clients in 13 countries. He is considered the world's top enologist and no one has more top scoring wines than Mr. Rolland. Michel is very selective in the wineries he consults for as they must have the capacity to grow quality grapes.  Rolland owns several properties in Bordeaux, including Château Le Bon Pasteur, Château Bertineau Saint-Vincent in Lalande de Pomerol, Château Rolland-Maillet in Saint-Émilion, Château Fontenil in Fronsac, and Château La Grande Clotte in Lussac-Saint-Émilion as well as joint venture partnerships with Bonne Nouvelle in South Africa, Val de Flores in Argentina, Campo Eliseo in Spain, and Yacochuya and Clos de los Siete in Argentina.

Diego Bonato

General Manager/Enologist

Born in Padova on the 30th of June 1982 Diego grew up in his family winery in Colli Euganei Veneto and at 22 years old he graduated from the University of Padova in Enology. After several work experiences in Veneto and Tuscany he traveled to New Zealand for harvest 2006 (the Chrossing Winery, Marlborough) and then to Australia (Pikes Wines, Clare Valley SA) where he worked harvest 2007.

Diego worked at Tolaini in 2006 for the growing season and harvest. He returned to Tolaini in 2008 where he was hired as the technical director in charge of the vineyards and winery. Today Diego is the General Manager of Tolaini.

Francesco Rosi

Winery Manager/Head Enologist

Born in Florence the 30th of April 1981, at 23 years old Francesco graduated from Enology at the University of Florence in 2004. After several experiences working for some of Tuscany's most prestigious wineries, in March 2011 Francesco was hired at Tolaini as head  Enologist and Manager of the winery.

Davide Xodo

Vineyard Manager/Agronomist

Born in Vicenza on the 29th of August 1982, Davide graduated in 2004 in Viticulture from the University of Padova. He spent his last year of study at the Diplôme Nationale d'Oenologue in Toulouse (France). In 2006 he graduated with a specialized degree in Viticulture from the University of Milan and Torino.

Davide worked for several wineries in Veneto, Toscana, Piemonte and Spain. In 2010 Davide returned to Tuscany and became the manager of viticulture at Tolaini estate.
